Pleroma

Modular FX graph

Pleroma is a modular multi-effects plugin for electronic bass music. You build a patch by dropping effects onto a round pad, lining them up on up to six parallel paths and setting everything moving with three drawable LFOs, an envelope follower and a Macro. Put two Portals around a group of effects and they run inside a feedback loop. Any knob can be modulated by dragging a source onto it, and the die at the top builds a brand-new patch from one of nine musical archetypes whenever you want a fresh idea.

  • 9 effect nodes
  • 6 parallel paths (Stereo, Mid or Side)
  • Feedback Portals
  • 3 drawable LFOs, envelope follower, Macro
Launch price $39.00 $59.00

The interface

Pleroma interface

The porthole pad

Your patch at a glance

Every effect is a bubble on the pad, and every ring is a path. Audio enters on the left, runs through all the paths side by side, and leaves on the right after they're summed. Pleroma turns the sum down automatically as you add paths, so stacking them doesn't just get louder.

On each ring, effects run in order from left to right. Drag a bubble along its ring to reorder it, onto another ring to move it to that path, or out of the porthole to remove it.

Each path can process the full stereo signal, just the middle, or just the sides. Put reverb and distortion on a Side path and your sub stays dry and centered.

The nine nodes

Every effect, the same layout

Click any bubble on the pad and its controls open in the panel on the right, with a live display of what it's doing.

Grains panel

Grains

Granular engine

Chops your live input into a cloud of tiny grains with pitch, spray, a 9-mode arpeggiator and a band-passed feedback delay. Can follow incoming MIDI notes.

Space panel

Space

Convolution reverb

21 impulse responses, from halls and plates to tonal blooms and foley. Trim, stretch, reverse, or drop in your own file.

Filter panel

Filter

Multimode filter

Nine types including Formant and Comb, slopes up to 96 dB/oct, stereo offset, drive and Note Snap to keep sweeps in tune.

Haze panel

Haze

Dispersion reverb

Chorus into a 16-stage all-pass cascade into a dense reverb. Smears transients into shimmering, laser-like tails.

Volt panel

Volt

Distortion

Oversampled tube Heat, a Crush decimator and three-band Charge compression, with eight cabinet models and a tuned feedback path.

Time panel

Time

Capture looper

Captures up to 60 seconds and replays it through a 16-slice sequencer: reorder, reverse, repitch and bend each slice, or freeze it.

Taps panel

Taps

Multi-tap delay

Eight taps, each with its own spectral processor. At 0 ms it becomes a tuned resonator. Tape wow, flutter and dust built in.

Bismuth panel

Bismuth

Chord resonator

8 voices × 6 partials tuned to a chord or scale, so anything rings out in harmony. Dry Pass keeps your low end untouched.

Portals panel

Portals

Feedback bridge

A pair of bubbles that turns everything between them into a feedback loop, up to 110%, with a limiter and Safety Gate to keep it in check.

Modulation

Make anything move

Three LFOs you can draw yourself (up to 32 points, smooth or curved), plus ready-made rhythm shapes for wobbles, pumps, gates, bounces and stutters. A Magic button draws a fresh random shape that still sounds musical.

Drag LFO 1, 2 or 3, the envelope follower or the Macro onto any knob to assign it. A colored ring shows how far the knob swings. Turn on Sidechain and the envelope follower listens to another track, so your kick can pump any knob in the patch.

18 factory presets across six categories: Ambient, Bass, Bounce, Delay, Glitch and Texture. Save your own to the User bank.

The die builds a complete patch from scratch (effects, paths, settings, LFO shapes and modulation) from one of nine archetypes: Bounce, Ambient Cloud, Rhythmic Glitch, Color Bass, Portal Shimmer, Tape Echo, Distorted Space, Formant Motion and Clean Modulation. Your last 12 rolls are kept, so a good one is never lost.
